PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 26, 2014) - HP (NYSE: HPQ) today announced that Mondelēz International has signed a five-year, multimillion dollar agreement with HP to transform its support environment for SAP® solutions, driving business-process improvement for the global snacking powerhouse that spans leading brands such as Cadbury, Nabisco and Oreo.

Under the agreement terms, HP will complement the infrastructure services it already provides Mondelēz International with applications services for SAP solutions to transform the computing environment to be more business-outcome focused. Mondelēz International will also use HP-implemented "Run SAP Like a Factory" tools and processes to effectively monitor operations. The transformation of the SAP solution-based environment will enable better decisions and business outcomes, including increased productivity.

"This agreement represents a strategic step to leverage our investment in SAP solutions, improve operations quality and lower costs," said Mark Dajani, chief information officer and EBS officer, Mondelēz International. "As a trusted partner, HP has a clear vision of the Industrialized Delivery Model for SAP solutions that reflects industry and technology expertise, combined with experience in managing complex environments that will boost the business value of our investment."

HP will use its Industrialized Delivery Model for delivery of SAP applications to consistently manage Mondelēz International's infrastructure as well as its applications development and maintenance functions. This, coupled with teams focused on improving and industrializing the efficiencies in their SAP solution landscape, will allow Mondelēz International the opportunity to take advantage of globally consistent delivery.

"The recent transition to HP was seamless, and I am thrilled with the speed and quality of the execution," said Matthias Herzog, senior director, Enterprise Services, Mondelēz International. "We could not have dreamt of a better way to start our transformation journey of SAP solutions."

HP has provided strategic infrastructure hosting services for SAP solutions at Mondelēz International since 2006 and will continue to provide these services from HP data centers in Germany, the United States and from application delivery centers across the globe.

"As a trusted partner to Mondelēz International, we will help transform the company's business to enable growth and meet increasing customer demand for its products across the globe," said Mike Nefkens, executive vice president and general manager, HP Enterprise Services. "In addition to helping ensure the infrastructure for running SAP applications is reliable, the HP team will combine our technical knowledge with our business and industry expertise to create a platform focused on achieving better business outcomes for Mondelēz International operations worldwide."
