Hexcel Test Laboratory now GL Approved for Mechanical and Analytical Testing of Wind Energy Products

Hexcel is delighted to announce that its entire test lab at Duxford, Cambridge (UK) has been accredited and certified by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) for the mechanical and analytical testing of wind energy products.
As part of the accreditation process, Hexcel’s qualification testing facilities were audited for high standards of testing expertise and a professional approach. The GL accreditation allows certification testing to be carried out in-house by Hexcel, avoiding the need to subcontract the work to other approved test houses. Hexcel’s rich portfolio of products and services, from research and development to materials manufacturing, has been further enhanced with the addition of certification testing.
The Hexcel test lab has more than 15 test machines carrying out mechanical testing from 5kN to 600kN frames and includes two robotic test frames.
