The recognition to our women leaders is a reflection of the gender balance and diversity initiatives that we have been driving in HUL over the last several years. We have several initiatives to promote gender balance in the company. All of these are open to both men and women as we believe that these are 'work life balance' enhancing initiatives - something that's important to everyone. We are committed to achieving a winning balance and creating a truly inclusive workplace and have made steady progress over the last few years, in particular. What has helped this happen are - strong senior leadership commitment, balanced hiring practices, enabling infrastructure (like a daycare) and agile and flexible work practices. Our thrust is to build an inclusive organization which acknowledges and appreciates differences and leverages their diversity. We've taken some steps to hard wire this through our organization.
