Hitachi Zosen : Hitz Delivers Filling and Packaging Lines to Soy Sauce and Liquid seasonings Factory

Hitachi Zosen Corporation (Hitz) has delivered two filling and packaging lines to Nibishi Co., Ltd. (City of Koga, Fukuoka; President Shigeo Suematsu), which started production at a newly constructed state-of-the-art soy sauce and liquid seasonings factory.

Nibishi, an established manufacturer of liquid seasonings based in Fukuoka Prefecture, built a state-of-the-art soy sauce and liquid seasonings factory in the grounds of the company headquarters, and contracted Hitachi Zosen to install two production lines for the filling and packaging of products in containers such as glass bottles and PET bottles.

The filling process is introduced a new multi-item production and filling system promoted by Hitachi Zosen since FY2015.Nibishi traditionally handles a broad variety of products, and each changeover between items previously required a switch of attachments on the conveyor unit. The system by Hitachi Zosen features a screw-less feeder system in the bottles entry area, an electric pinch valve in the filling control unit, and multi-handling system in the handling unit. This realizes a reduction in time required for switching attachments, significantly simplified controls, and highly accurate filling for improved productivity and versatility.

The outline of the factory is as follows.

In the spring, Hitachi Zosen delivered to a different Nibishi factory the multi-item, small-lot filling system what is called 'Hitz Master', which rolls ottles cleaning, filling, and capping functions into a single compact equipment. Because changeover between items requires little effort, the system plays a part not only in production of Nibishi brand products but also in expansion of the company's OEM production.
