'Our ultimate goal is to 'green' our entire assortment instead of selling green products,' says Home Depot Manager of Environmental Sustainability, Mark Schleier. 'That's a commitment our merchants and merchandising teams are making to make Home Depot a more sustainable company.'

The Home Depot's rebates program can also offer immediate savings. 'Through the rebate finder tool, customers can type in the Home Depot product number and find a form to see if they are eligible for a rebate in their area,' says Logan Murray, Analyst for Home Depot's Utility Rebates.

There were more than 22 billion searches for rebates on Home Depot last year. That means big savings year round.
