Craig Foster Named a Top 50 Influencer in InsTech Power 100

LONDON, 7 OCTOBER 2016- Craig Foster, Managing Director of HomeServe Labs, the smart home technology developer, has been listed in the InsTech Power 100 as a top 50 social media influencer in the InsurTech space for the first time. Foster, who is the inventor of the LeakBot, a small, connected device which uses its intelligent technology to detect water leaks anywhere on the mains water supply, was named number 33 in the respected industry influencer listing.

The InsTech Power 100 recognises the most inspiring social media accounts every fortnight, choosing its ranking through an individual's Klout score - a number which recognises a user's social online influence, taking into account their social media activity and engagement across social networks including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.

Foster, who runs HomeSeve Labs' entrepreneurial and innovative team to build original solutions for the connected home, was instrumental in bringing LeakBot, the company's first product, to market this summer. Less than two months since the LeakBot launched, it already won a prestigious Insurance Times Tech & Innovation Award for the best Internet of Things breakthrough product.

Since he started leading HomeServe Labs eight months ago, he has built a team focused on developing digital home technologies that can help improve people's lives. With a long innovation- focused background, Foster has held a number of leadership roles within HomeServe, including Connected Home Director, Innovation and strategy Director and Product Director. Before joining HomeServe, Craig worked with a number of leading brands including Halifax and Procter & Gamble.

Craig Foster, Managing Director of HomeServe Labs, said: "I am incredibly pleased to have been named in the leader board of the InsTech Power 100. The Internet of Things has sparked a revolution in home technologies, and the insurance industry is set to reap numerous benefits. LeakBot is the first product of many to come out of HomeServe Labs and we're very proud that, despite only being launched in June, it already seems to be disrupting the industry which is seeing the real consumer benefits it can offer. This is only the beginning of an exciting journey for insurance providers and customers alike as the InsurTech sector continues to grow."
