Headquartered in Norwalk, Conn., HomeServe has been servicing customers in North America since 2003 and today has over 650 employees nationwide. The company relocated from Stamford to Norwalk in November 2013 and now has more than 185 employees located at its Merritt 7 office location. HomeServe has established partnerships with 45 utility companies and municipalities and provides home emergency repair service plans to over 1.6 million customers, performing over 300,000 service calls annually in the U.S. alone.

“We have always attributed the success of our business to the dedication of our employees and are honored to be recognized as one of the top workplaces in Connecticut,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “A top priority at HomeServe is to offer an array of opportunities to our career-minded employees and maintain a collaborative, professional and fun working environment while always delivering superior customer service.”

Hearst Media’s Top Workplaces award was presented to 45 Connecticut area businesses, out of 766 companies that participated in this year’s competition. Evaluations for the list are solely based on employee opinion taken from a Workplace Dynamics employee survey. The survey aims to assess the fundamentals of the company’s values, execution, leadership and culture.

“The most successful companies are the ones that employees believe in which is why we use employee evaluations as the basis for our award,” said Liz Sucharski, Hearst Media. “HomeServe’s honor is especially remarkable because the company is a first-time entrant and a first-time winner.”
