HomeServe USA, a leading provider of home repair solutions, celebrates the 5 Year Anniversary of the Chattanooga Customer Service Center today. Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger, Chattanooga Mayor’s Office Deputy Administrator, Nick Wilkinson, Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Regional Director Blake Poole, and representatives of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce join HomeServe CEO Tom Rusin at HomeServe’s Chattanooga Contact Center to celebrate the successful ongoing partnership between the company and the community.

HomeServe has been serving customers throughout the country since 2002 and now provides more than 3 million home repair service plans to more than 2 million customers across the U.S. and Canada. HomeServe opened its flagship Chattanooga Contact Center in October 2010 and took its first customer call on November 17, 2010, marking five years to the week. Over the past five years the number of employees within the office has grown tenfold, from 35 when the center first opened to nearly 350 employees occupying two floors in the office at Premier Drive.

HomeServe and the employees at the Chattanooga Contact Center have been recognized for delivering outstanding customer service, winning six Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service within the last two years. HomeServe’s Chattanooga employees embody the corporate culture of giving as active community members - volunteering and raising money for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Chattanooga Food Bank, Children’s Hospital and Chambliss Children’s home.

HomeServe’s move to Chattanooga and its growth over the last 5 years illustrate the successful relationship between the industry, the State of Tennessee, Hamilton County, the City of Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. The Contact Center has resulted in significant job growth at competitive wages and community development.

“Customer service is a vital part of the HomeServe business and has become a differentiator for us within our marketplace,” said Tom Rusin CEO of HomeServe USA. “The team in Chattanooga provides award-winning support to our customers at a time when they are most vulnerable when dealing with home emergencies. Chattanooga and Hamilton County is home to many of our employees and the community has treated HomeServe extremely well over the last five years. We look forward to continuing our tradition of great customer service and showing our appreciation by being an active member of this great community.”

“I’d like to thank HomeServe for their investment in our community,” said Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger. “Over the years HomeServe has provided hundreds of job opportunities for our residents and we are pleased to celebrate this milestone for both HomeServe and the community.”

“Five years ago the Chamber, along with our partners, worked hard to bring HomeServe to Chattanooga,” said Charles Wood, Vice President of Economic Development for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. “HomeServe’s continued growth now means that hundreds of Chattanoogans have a bright future with a thriving company.”

“HomeServe has prospered in our community and, with the creation of good middle-class jobs, has helped fuel our economic development over the last several years," said Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke.
