HomeStreet Bank announced today that it is expanding its retail banking network into the San Diego market by opening two bank branches: Mission Gorge on March 14 and Kearny Mesa on March 31.

  • The Mission Gorge branch is located at 6515 Mission Gorge Road
  • The Kearny Mesa branch is located at 9363 Clairemont Mesa Blvd

“Expanding our banking services in San Diego is exciting for the company, and we are proud to introduce our retail banking services to consumers and businesses in the market,” said HomeStreet Bank CEO and President Mark Mason. HomeStreet currently has eight bank branches in the greater Los Angeles area and has been offering mortgage loans and commercial loans in San Diego for several years. The Mission Gorge and Kearny Mesa branches will be HomeStreet’s first bank branches in San Diego. “This is a milestone moment for us as we grow and expand to 117 retail bank branches and home loan centers throughout nine western states.”

HomeStreet Bank is growing in Southern California and recently completed its purchase of Orange County Business Bank in Irvine, California. Last year it acquired Simplicity Bank with seven branches in the Los Angeles area and launched HomeStreet Commercial Capital in Brea. HomeStreet Bank plans to open additional retail banking branches and home loan centers this year in Southern California and throughout its network.
