of automobile production, Japan domestic sales, and export
results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012 as well as
for the month of March 2012.

year-on-year decrease for the first time in two years
respectively (since Fiscal Year 2010).
March 2012
Production in Japan for the month of March 2012 experienced
a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month
(since December 2011).
Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a
year-on-year increase for the second consecutive month
(since February 2012), setting an all-time monthly record.
This includes all-time monthly records for production in
North America and USA.
Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase
for the third consecutive month (since January 2012),
setting an all-time monthly record.

the second consecutive year (since Fiscal Year 2011).
New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year
decrease for the second consecutive year (since Fiscal Year
2011).
Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase
for the first time in five years (since Fiscal Year 2007).
<Vehicle registrations - excluding mini-vehicles>
Fit was the industry's second best-selling car among
new vehicle registrations for the Fiscal Year 2012, with
sales of 234,432 units. Freed was the industry's fifth
best-selling car with sales of 90,414 units.
<Mini-vehicles - under 660 cc>
Life was the industry's seventh best-selling car among
mini-vehicles for the Fiscal Year 2012, with sales of
64,511 units. N BOX was the industry's tenth
best-selling car with sales of 47,329 units.
March 2012
Honda's automobile sales in the Japanese market for the
month of March 2012 experienced a year-on-year increase for
the third consecutive month (since January 2012).
New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year
increase for the seventh consecutive month (since September
2011).
Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase
for the third consecutive month (since January 2012).

Fit was the industry's second best-selling car among
new vehicle registrations for the month of March 2012 with
sales of 34,161 units. Freed was the industry's fifth
best-selling car with sales of 16,257 units.
<Mini-vehicles - under 660 cc>
N BOX was the industry's fifth best-selling car in the
mini-vehicle category for the month of March 2012 with
sales of 19,213 units. Life was the industry's eighth
best-selling car with sales of 8,495 units.
