April 25, 2012 - Honda Motor Co., Ltd. announced a summary of automobile production, Japan domestic sales, and export results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012 as well as for the month of March 2012.

Production in Japan for the month of March 2012 experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive month (since December 2011).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive month (since February 2012), setting an all-time monthly record. This includes all-time monthly records for production in North America and USA.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the third consecutive month (since January 2012), setting an all-time monthly record.

Life was the industry's seventh best-selling car among mini-vehicles for the Fiscal Year 2012, with sales of 64,511 units. N BOX was the industry's tenth best-selling car with sales of 47,329 units.

New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year increase for the seventh consecutive month (since September 2011).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year increase for the third consecutive month (since January 2012).

N BOX was the industry's fifth best-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of March 2012 with sales of 19,213 units. Life was the industry's eighth best-selling car with sales of 8,495 units.
