HKEx to Introduce Four New Stock Option Classes on 17 February Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce four new stock option classes on Monday, 17 February this year: Kunlun Energy Co. Ltd., Want Want China Holdings Ltd., Dongfeng Motor Group Co. Ltd. and Hengan International Group Ltd. Stock Option Classes Available for Trading at HKEx from 17 February 2014 Kunlun, Want Want and Hengan are in the Hang Seng Index, and Dongfeng is in the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, or H-shares index. HKEx has invited applications for Exchange Participants interested in serving as market makers for the new option classes. The first table below shows contract highlights for the new option classes. Stock Option Classes to be Introduced on 17 February 2014 After the additions, there will be 74 stock option classes available for trading at HKEx. The following tables show HKEx's stock option classes from 17 February. HKEx's stock options trading volume rose 8.5 per cent last year from 2012 to 60,827,975 contracts, and open interest was 4,740,818 contracts at year's end, up 17.6 per cent from the end of 2012.
