SFC and the Exchange extend deadline for response tothe joint consultation on listing regulation

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the Exchange), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), announce today (Friday) a two-month extension of the deadline for responding to the joint consultation on the proposed enhancements to the Exchange's decision-making and governance structure for listing regulation.

The consultation period will now end on 18 November 2016.

In light of the great deal of interest and a wide range of views expressed since the publication of the consultation paper and given that much of the consultation period coincided with the summer season, an extension will give all interested parties further time to file their submissions.

Note: Please see joint press release issued by the SFC and HKEX dated 17 June 2016.
