SHENZHEN-HONG KONG STOCK CONNECT

Reference is made to the announcements of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited ("HKEX") dated 16 August 2016 and 11 October 2016 ("Announcements") in relation to the establishment of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect. Unless the context otherwise requires, terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Announcements.

The Securities and Futures Commission and the China Securities Regulatory Commission jointly announced that the launch of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect on 5 December 2016 ("Launch Date") has been approved. HKEX is pleased to announce that all the conditions under the Agreement have been satisfied and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect will commence operation on the Launch Date.
