The investment objective of the BFS Equity Fund is long-term appreciation through the growth of principle and income. The Fund will invest primarily in the common stocks of large capitalization U.S. companies, which Bradley, Foster & Sargent believe to be of high quality. The Fund may also invest in similar foreign companies either directly or through American Depository Receipts (ADRs), which are receipts issued by U.S. banks for shares of a foreign corporation that entitle the holder to dividends and capital gains on the underlying security. The BFS Equity Fund may also invest in cash and other cash equivalents. As of December 31, 2013, Bradley, Foster & Sargent had client assets under management of approximately $2.48 billion.
