THE WOODLANDS, Texas - An explosion occurred at Huntsman's white pigment factory in Uerdingen, Germany, at approximately 2 p.m. CET Wednesday.

There were no fatalities. Current reports indicate 12 people were injured; seven are being treated at hospital. No off-site impacts have been reported.

"Huntsman's primar y concern is the health and well-being of our associates and the neighboring community," said Simon Turner, President of Huntsman Pigments and Additives. "We are in contact with the families of those injured and supporting them in any way we can."

The incident is currently under investigation. Further details will be shared as they become available.
