UK Mobile Operators to Avoid Launching Legal Action Over 4G Services: Sources - FT

Four U.K. mobile operators have signed a stand-still agreement that will hold off any legal action for a month while talks are held to proceed with the launch of next-generation 4G mobile broadband services, the Financial Times reported Monday on its website, citing unnamed sources.
Everything Everywhere, Vodafone Group PLC (>> Vodafone Group plc), Telefonica SA's (>> Telefonica SA) O2 and Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. (>> Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. (ADR))'s Three UK have signed the agreement to stall any litigation against the communications regulator Ofcom's decision to allow Everything Everywhere to launch 4G phones on its existing network while its rivals wait to buy new licenses, the report said.
As a result, Everything Everywhere won't roll out 4G services in the month from last Monday as talks are being held, the report added.
All parties declined comment, according to the report.
