ICT : InMotion racecar in action

Next weekend is the weekend that racing fans are looking forward to. The InMotion racecar is ready to break the electric lap record at Circuit Zandvoort. They will take the ultimate test on the 3rd and 4th of June. Last weekend was the final rehearsal. InMotion joined the most popular motorsports event in the Netherlands: The Jumbo Race Days. Over 100.000 visitors visited the stand of the racecar and watched the demo on the track. This demo both served the purpose to gain even more public awareness, as well as gathering valuable test and track data for the record-attempt next weekend during the pinksterraces. Jumbo Race Days
Due to the perfect location of the InMotion stand, that was positioned across the entrance tunnel of the paddock, over 100.000 visitors walked right into the racecar. After giving out posters, telling the story and showing the car, the InMotion team gathered a crowd as soon as they started to prepare for the track. Both days they gave a demonstration on the track. People were surprised by the silence overtaking other cars on the track. They didn't even hear it roar down the long straight over the Finish line. That's what the InMotion team motivates to continue: 'Building an electric race car that is as attractive as other racecars, get rid of the dull image of electric vehicles and bring innovation into motorsports by using the latest technology to shake up the established order.'

Partnership ICT and InMotion
InMotion is an automotive race team that consists of students of Eindhoven University of Technology and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. InMotion aims to participate in the 24h race of Le Mans in 2020 with their IM01 race car. Together ICT and InMotion developed the Electronic Control Units (ECU's) for the complete IM/e race car. ICT provides its Model based development Production Platform: Motar, consisting of the ECU's hardware and platform software, while InMotion develops the control algorithms (application software) for these ECU's.
