Innovative technology includes entry systems for IOC members and guests at the Olympic Club and cashless payment for 100,000 visitors at Alexandra Palace hospitality events

LONDON, England, July 26, 2012 - Identive Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: INVE; Frankfurt: INV), a provider of products and services for the identification, security and RFID industries, today announced that it is providing innovative contactless entry and payment solutions at prestigious hospitality venues during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Identive's Polyright visitor management solution will enhance security for up to 10,000 visitors to the Olympic Club, located next to the stadium in the Olympic Park. The solution includes the issuance of personalized gold, silver or bronze contactless ID badges for International Olympic Committee (IOC) members, VIPs, invited guests and staff. The badges grant secure entry to the Club and are being deployed in conjunction with Identive's Polyright identity management system, which includes gate control, monitoring capabilities and support services.

In cooperation with the leading Dutch bank Rabobank, Identive is providing multi-use cashless payment cards for more than 100,000 visitors at Heineken House hospitality events held at the prestigious Alexandra Palace. As previously announced, the contactless cards utilize Identive's innovative tomPAY™ near field communication (NFC) tag technology, which allows them to be used both as conventional cashless payment cards and as  NFC payment stickers for mobile phones. The cards also are compatible with the Company's Multicard Cashless Betalen™ mobile payment solution, which is widely deployed in the Netherlands. Dutch Olympic visitors who obtain an Identive cashless payment card will be able to peel off the NFC tag, affix it to their mobile devices and download Cashless Betalen apps to enroll on their return home. Identive expects the total number of Cashless Betalen users to exceed 200,000 this summer.

"We are very pleased to provide some of our latest technology products and solutions for the use of visitors to the Olympics," commented Ayman S. Ashour CEO and chairman of Identive Group. "It is particularly exciting that the first broad deployment of our tomPAY mobile payment products and our new Polyright identity management systems are taking place at Olympic venues. Identive's growth in the consumer ID market and in particular multi-application environments has been an important part of our strategy, and we are seeing increased demand for our secure ID solutions at large events, from summer festivals across Europe to the London Olympics."
