IMAX Corporation : IMAX Reports Q1 Worldwide Gross Box Office of Approximately $121.3 Million

IMAX reported today that worldwide gross box office for
the first quarter ended March 31, 2012, is estimated to be
approximately $121.3 million ($64.3 million domestic and $57.1
million international). International gross box office results
include grosses from China. For the first quarter of
2011, gross box office was $62.3 million ($32.2 million
domestic and $30.1 million international).
In its opening weekend ended April 1, Warner Bros.' Wrath
of the Titans: An IMAX 3D Experience grossed an
estimated $8.6 million in worldwide box office ($4.7 million
domestic and $3.9 million international), approximately $5.9
million of which was generated during its first two days of
release which were captured during the first quarter of
2012.
Final gross box office figures will be released when the
Company reports its first quarter financial results at the end
of April.
