Implenia sells first-class project development in Zurich-Altstetten - Flexible logistics and office building fulfils today's and tomorrow's needs | "One Company" project with contract volume in the high double-digit millions

Dietlikon, 3 July 2018 - Implenia is developing and building a logistics and office building in the Kreis 9 district of Zurich. The "West-Log" project, which is tailored perfectly to the needs of investors and the future anchor tenant, has been sold to Swiss Prime Site Immobilien. Implenia has developed the project up to the building permit stage and is now taking charge of actual execution as total contractor. The total volume of the contracts is in the high tens of millions.

Implenia has proved its development expertise in the project, which is being built in the immediate vicinity of Altstetten train station. To the south, the new building will be separated from the railway tracks by Vulkanstrasse, while the site's northern boundary is marked by Juchstrasse. The compact and powerful building body is being clad in a metal façade. Architecturally, it blends well into the existing large-scale urban landscape. The site is located directly by the motorway junction to the west of the city. The building has excellent long-term prospects, since as a logistics hub it responds to the growing demand for inner city goods distribution. The new building will be connected to Zurich's district heating network. Construction work on "West-Log" starts this summer and should last around two years.

This "One Company" project demonstrates Implenia's skill at providing the whole suite of construction services from a single source. As well as project development, the Group is also responsible for specialist planning and is providing building construction services, including masonry work, and foundation engineering expertise. Implenia is thus bringing its full power to bear on the project.
