Impresa is Portugal's leading communications group. Net sales (including intra-group) break down by activity as follows:
- operation of TV channels (66.9%): 6 channels operated (SIC, SIC Noticias, SIC Radical, SIC Internacional, SIC Mulher, and SIC Comédia) at the end of 2012. The group also produces television programs, operates Internet portals, and sells DVDs;
- publishing of newspapers and magazines (29%): weekly newspapers (Expresso, Blitz, AutoSport and Courrier Internacional), monthly newspapers (SurfPortugal), and magazines covering the areas of economics (Exame), society (Caras), computers (Visao Informatica), automobiles (Turbo), and other (Telenovelas, TV Mais, Witch, Cosmopolitan, Visao, etc.);
- other (4.1%): primarily publishing and distribution of multimedia and digital content (operating primarily through the portals AEIOU, MyGames, MyVideos, and Digital Guest Services).
Net sales break down primarily by source of income into sales of advertising space (51.2%) and sales of newspapers and magazines, individually or by subscription (13.3%).
Portugal accounts for 96.9% of net sales.
