Massimo Dutti has inaugurated a new store under the umbrella of the Inditex Group's workforce integration programme, 'for&from', in collaboration with the non-profit social cooperative Moltacte. The new establishment, located in Llagostera (Girona), has a staff of nine people, five of which suffer severe mental disorders.
This Massimo Dutti 'for&from' store, located at 5, Plaça Catalunya in Llagostera, sells last-season items at discounted prices under a franchise regime. The employees diagnosed with severe mental disorders receive ongoing training and psychological support from Moltacte's experts, who specialise in social and workplace rehabilitation programs for people with severe mental illness, as well as from Massimo Dutti's store staff.
With this new opening, Inditex's workforce integration programme now employs more than 60 people with some form of physical or intellectual disability. They work across eight stores representing several of the Group's chains. All the 'for&from' stores are managed by charitable organisations specialised in the integration of people with some form physical disability, such as Moltacte, Fundació Molí d'en Puigvert and COGAMI, among others.
Today there are three 'for&from' stores in Palafolls, Barcelona (Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Oysho); two in Allariz, Ourense (Massimo Dutti and Tempe, the latter selling accessories and footwear from all of the Inditex Group's chains); one Tempe store in Elche, Alicante; one Stradivarius store in Manresa (Barcelona); and, now, the new Massimo Dutti store in LLagostera, Girona.
In addition to demonstrating its ability to improve the quality of living of people with disabilities since it was created in 2002, the 'for&from' programme constitutes an important source of financing for Inditex's partner charities. Having received total investment of over €2 million since the platform was first created, the 'for&from' store network currently generates annual sales of over €3.6 million.

The 'for&from' project: 12 years of integration in barrier-free stores
'For&from' was born in 2001 when Inditex first contacted Fundació Molí d'en Puigvert with the aim of exploring new ways to bring vulnerable groups and people with severely limited job prospects into society and the workplace. A Massimo Dutti store employing persons with severe mental deficiencies was opened in Palafolls in April 2002. Bershka joined the Fundació Molí program in 2008, opening its debut 'for&from' store in this same town.

The 'for&from' program received a boost in 2007 and 2010 with new Massimo Dutti and Tempe stores in Allariz (Ourense), which are managed by persons with varying degrees of physical impairment, in collaboration with COGAMI (Galician Confederation of Persons with Disability). Towards the end of 2010, Tempe inaugurated a new store in Elche (Alicante) with the assistance of APSA (Alicante Association for Persons with Psychiatric Disabilities) and in 2011, Stradivarius joined the programme, opening a store in Manresa (Barcelona), hand in hand with local cooperative, Moltacte. The last Inditex chain to join the initiative was Oysho, which opened a store in Palafolls together with Fundació Molí.

Moltacte
Moltacte is a non-profit social cooperative which was created in 2006 with the mission of integrating people with severe mental disorders into society and the workplace. It articulates this mission by operating outlet stores in which shoppers can, in addition to buying clothes and accessories at reduced prices, participate in a sustainable social project which generates genuine, stable and dignified jobs for people with severe mental disorders.

This new Massimo Dutti store in Llagostera is Inditex's second retail initiative in collaboration with Moltacte; the relationship dates back to 2012 when the two entities opened a similar Stradivarius store in Manresa (Barcelona).
