Indra has launched a new CyberSecurity Operations Center -or i-CSOC- located in Bogota, Colombia, which will be added to the ones the company already has in operation in Madrid and Mexico City. The multinational thus rolls out a global network of centers to manage the cybersecurity of companies, organizations and public bodies in a coordinated way, 24x7x365 days a year.

With the opening in Colombia of this new i-CSOC, Indra reinforces its capacity to monitor and administer cybersecurity while managing its clients' incidents and technological vulnerabilities. The company already has more than 200 experts at different points all over the planet who monitor and safeguard the security of networks and systems against all types of cyberattack.

The creation of this specialized center reinforces Indra's leadership in the cybersecurity market, and consolidates its presence in Latin America. It also allows the company to support its clients' activities in the region and offer specialized services to local companies at more competitive prices.

Indra's distributed network of cybersecurity centers also means that different time zones can be covered more efficiently, and guarantees the resilience of the service, even in the case of major catastrophes that may affect communications or equipment.

One of the first services to be provided by Indra's i-CSOC in Colombia was specifically to guarantee cybersecurity during the last regional elections in 2015.

Indra's network of i-CSOC centers offers dynamic and adaptable services using cutting-edge technology in the sector and maintaining partnerships with leading companies such as HP, IBM, AlienVault, ForeScout, EMC/RSA, Intel/McAfee, and Symantec, among others.

In a scenario in which organizations increasingly depend on digital technology, and where the number of interconnected smart devices continues to grow as part of the Internet of Things (IoT), it is essential to have specialized cybersecurity services. Indra's i-CSOCs have the experience and knowledge necessary to quickly identify the vulnerabilities that cyberdelinquents exploit in their attacks, and offer the capabilities to neutralize them.

The multinational uses a strategy that combines preventive and reactive actions to mitigate the impact of threats and avoid situations that allow attackers of any kind to exploit the vulnerabilities of IT systems.

Indra has been operating in Colombia since 1995, and is one of the three leading technology companies in the country. It has over 2,000 employees, and offices in Bogota, Barranquilla and Medellín. It also has two software labs -in Bogota and Pereira- and a Cloud Excellence Center in Bucaramanga, all of which cater to the demands of the Colombian market while also acting as services hubs for the rest of Latin America.

In recent years, Indra has made a name as a key player in the cybersecurity sector through the development and ongoing evolution of high added-value products and services. These include everything from services backed by its extensive experience such as consulting and auditing, or the design and deployment of architectures and technologies, through to innovative products in such wide-ranging and important fields as security in mobile devices, cooperative and competitive cybertraining platforms, and biometric authentication and documentary verification applied to border control systems, which have served to offer our clients a differential value in a new concept of smart borders. This combination of skills, experience and innovation has meant our clients can continue to depend on Indra as the ideal partner in the area of cybersecurity. Our clients include leading financial institutions, major companies in the energy and utilities sector, public administrations and state security forces and corps.
