Sunnyvale, CA - March 4, 2013 - Infinera (NASDAQ: INFN) will conduct a technology demonstration with the DTN-X platformat the CableLabs® Winter Conference next week. The conference, which is open only to CableLabs member and demonstrating vendors, takes place at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida March 10-13th.

At the conference, in CableLabs' demonstration area, Infinera product and technology experts will demonstrate how technological advances and network convergence are reducing both CapEx and OpEx costs for cable operators. Infinera will provide an overview of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and packet optical transport network (P-OTN) technologies, providing insight into the operational, engineering, and service benefits they bring to cable operators. The demonstrations will feature the DTN-X and show how photonic integration, integrated OTN switching, and intelligent networking can lower total cost of ownership for cable operators.

The Infinera DTN-X platform began shipping to customers for deployment, including major cable operators last year. The DTN-X is the only optical network solution built using 500 Gb/s PICs, integrating more than 600 optical functions onto a pair of chips and delivering the world's first 500 Gb/s FlexCoherent long haul super-channels. The solution integrates 5 Tb/s of OTN switching and a GMPLS control plane enabling any service to be switched to any optical wavelength, providing cable operators a network solution that scales for the future, is simple to operate, and is quick to deploy new services.

Infinera's solutions for cable operators include the Infinera DTN, a Digital ROADM-based long-haul and metro core platform; the Infinera ATN metro edge platform designed to provide scalable optical transport for access and commercial service aggregation; and Infinera's DTN-X platform featuring 500 Gb/s long-haul super-channels. Infinera's solutions are widely deployed by major U.S. MSOs in national backbone, regional, and metro applications.
