Today on Dutch online independent discussion forum Me Judice where economists speak out on economic topics, Ralph Hamers, an econometrist himself, speaks about digitalization in banking: how technology changes the way banks interact with their clients.

Banks have been using client data for ages but the way banks access these data has changed. In the past, banks received client data by speaking with customers in branches, by receiving their written information. The introduction of internet and mobile banking has changed the way banks interact with their clients. Nowadays banks access client data mostly in a digital way. But the usage remains the same: improving client service.
