This is how ING's CEO Ralph Hamers was called in this week's 'Monday interview" in the Financial Times.

In this interview, FT reflects both on ING as "one of the best-positioned banks for the digital revolution sweeping the sector", as well as on the CEO's personality: "a 49-year-old banker, who normally oozes modesty and caution"; his career: "his smooth rise up the ranks has been low key"; and his management style: "people don't have the earn my trust. I trust them from the beginning. They can only lose it". Ralph Hamers talks about doing things "the ING way" when elaborating on innovative solutions that ING is rolling out in several countries. "What we are focusing on is not developing different products catering to the same need, but how you deliver that product," he says.
