SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwired - May 13, 2014) - Building on its success, Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain and mobile device lifecycle services, today announced an expanded relationship under its U.S. distribution agreement with SAP America, Inc. (NYSE: SAP), a market leader in enterprise application software. The expanded relationship marks a significant milestone in Ingram Micro's existing distribution agreement with SAP in the U.S. and is being spearheaded by Ingram Micro's Advanced Computing Division with support from Ingram Micro's HP Business Unit.

Ingram Micro will now provide analytics, database and enterprise mobility offerings from SAP to its U.S. channel partners. Ingram Micro will also distribute the pioneering SAP HANA® platform, helping channel partners drive rapid innovation with accelerated analytics, business processes, data processing and predictive capabilities. In addition to SAP HANA, as well as SAP Business Objects and SAP Crystal solutions, Ingram Micro has also added to its solutions portfolio the SAP Lumira software.

"Ingram Micro has already established a strong working relationship with SAP and we are excited to replicate and build on that success within our Advanced Computing Division and expand the reach and business value of additional SAP solutions within the IT channel," says Scott Zahl, vice president and general manager, Ingram Micro Advanced Computing Division, U.S.

To help ensure its channel partners are fully enabled to succeed with SAP solutions, Ingram Micro's Advanced Computing Division will also provide partners with a broad spectrum of resources, including business development, pre-sales technical support, field technical consulting, transactional support and tools designed to help accelerate the profitable growth of their enterprise software businesses.

"Ingram Micro has a track record of success as a distributor of SAP Crystal Reports® software," said John Graham, head, Ecosystem and Channels, SAP Americas. "We anticipate they will get up to speed quickly as a distributor of our database and analytics offerings in the U.S. as well. With their strong record of bringing cutting-edge technology to mid-market companies, we expect they will help customers in this segment to harness big data with real-time analytics that will enable them to become best-run businesses."

SAP software- and data-focused channel partners can leverage Ingram Micro's sales, market development, marketing and technical teams to broaden their capabilities in the fastest developing vertical and horizontal markets. Ingram Micro's Advanced Computing Division offers a comprehensive solutions portfolio, which includes industry-leading technology from vendors like HP, whose HP ConvergedSystem for SAP HANA is just one of several purpose-built solutions for the in-memory computing platform.

"HP sees tremendous opportunity in the channel with our new ConvergedSystem portfolio," said Neal Clapper, vice president, Converged Systems, Americas, HP. "With the dedicated support of Ingram Micro's HP Business Unit and Advanced Computing Division's expanded relationship with SAP, we offer HP channel partners cutting-edge technology, enablement resources and the support they need to build and grow a profitable practice around the HP ConvergedSystem portfolio."

Ingram Micro and SAP first entered into a distribution agreement in November 2013 to expand the developer's reach into the small and midsize business segment.
