Listen to Inmarsat CEO on BBC Radio 4

27 February 2015: Inmarsat CEO Rupert Pearce featured on BBC Radio 4's Today programme to discuss 'the high tech, high spec, highly skilled business' that is Inmarsat.

BBC journalist Simon Jack visited Rupert at the heart of the business - the Network Operations Room (NOC) in its City Road HQ in London.

A scene reminiscent of James Bond's Moonraker film according to Simon, the NOC features a bank of coverage maps, spot beams and flashing lights to monitor and manage Inmarsat's 11 satellites in geostationary orbit.

In his interview for the Friday Bossslot, Rupert talks in greater depth about Inmarsat's $3 billion investment in next generation networks, government policies around the satellite industry, and how Inmarsat is leading innovation in space and aerospace - a strategic and growing industry for Britain.
