The event last month in in Herndon, Virginia featured speaker sessions and hands-on demonstrations for key channel and manufacturing partners and leading government executives and users.

General Robert Kehler, U.S. Air Force (retired) and Colonel William Rittershaus, Deputy Director, Space Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, were the keynote government speakers.

Innovative solutions

Throughout the workshop's plenary and breakout sessions, attendees learned how Inmarsat is providing users with innovative solutions that allow for rapid connectivity anywhere.

Through Global Xpress - the first and only end-to-end high-throughput commercial Ka-band network from a single operator that spans the world - and its L-band innovation built to specific government requirements, Inmarsat is bringing the benefits of seamless, consistent and reliable access to government users to meet mobile, interoperable communication needs, at an affordable price.

In hands-on live demonstrations of Global Xpress, attendees experienced the ease of use that users have come to expect from BGAN solutions, such as simple terminal set-up and satellite acquisition.

In rainy conditions, participants witnessed first hand the seamless operation of all systems in even testy weather environments.
