Minnesota Energy Resources Corp. Presents Safety Grants to Emergency Responders Grants are awarded through Wisconsin Public Service Foundation Eagan, MN -Minnesota Energy Resources, along with their charitable giving entity, Wisconsin Public Service Foundation, has awarded $10,000 to Minnesota Energy Resources service area first responders as part of the Foundation's "Safety It's Worth the Energy" grant opportunity. This is the first year the grant has been offered at Minnesota Energy Resources and more than 60 area first response agencies applied for funding. Those selected to receive up to a $2,000 grant may use it as part of a well-planned integrated public safety initiative to purchase equipment and provide professional development. Wisconsin Public Service Foundation is a private, charitable foundation funded by company shareholders and has no impact on electric and natural gas rates charged to Minnesota Energy Resources customers. 2015 recipient organizations are:
