*The following power generation subsidiaries published their statements: JSC Inter RAO - Electric Power Plants, CJSC Nizhnevartovskaya TPP, Bashkir Generation Company LLC, JSC TGK-11, and JSC Tomsk Generation (exclusive of its grid operations in the first nine months of 2015).
The following key factors affected the operating results of Russian power generation and heat production subsidiaries of Inter RAO Group:
- Commissioning of over 1 GW of new power generation capacity since the end of 2014 under Capacity Delivery Agreements (CDA):
- unit No.2 at the Yuzhnouralskaya TPP-2 (417 MW)
- units No. 8 and 9 at the Cherepetskaya TPP (225 MW each)
- a generator at the Omskaya TPP-3 (60 MW)
- a generator at the Omskaya TPP-5 (100 MW)
- An increase in installed power generation capacity after recertification at unit No. 1 at the Yuzhnouralskaya TPP-2 (by 9.4 MW), at the Urengoyskaya TPP (by 14.4 MW), and at the Kaliningradskaya TPP-2 (by 25 MW);
- Retirement of inefficient power generation equipment at the Yuzhnouralskaya TPP and Verkhnetagilskaya TPP (totaling 276 MW at both facilities), as well as at TPPs in Bashkortostan (totaling 36 MW) and at the Omskaya TPP-4 (totaling 50 MW);
- Optimized capacity utilization of profitable power generation facilities with reduced use of inefficient generation units;
- Increased CDA revenue due to higher gain on long-term government bonds;
- The increase in average heat tariffs since January 1, 2015;
- Reduced heat sales due to warmer weather in the winter of 2015;
- Divestment of JSC OmskRTS and JSC TomskRTS subsidiaries on April 1, 2014, and divestment of JSC Tomsk Generation from TGK-11 Group on April 1, 2015
