Vukovits has 20-plus years of experience in corporate accounting and financial management, and since 2003 has served in finance roles at Interactive Intelligence, a global provider of software and cloud services for customer engagement, unified communications and collaboration.

“We looked all over the country for the best CFO available and realized Ashley was just as competent as anyone we could find,” said Dr. Donald Brown, Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO. “It was a delight to be able to promote her into the position and a credit to her talent and hard work. Although we focused on finding the best person for the job regardless of gender, I can’t deny that it was a special pleasure to add a woman to our executive management team."

Vukovits serves as chief financial officer, senior vice president of administration, secretary and treasurer at Interactive Intelligence.

During her time at Interactive Intelligence, the company has grown from 300 employees to 2,200. Revenues have increased from just over $50 million in 2003 to more than $340 million in 2014.

Vukovits’ professional excellence has been demonstrated throughout her tenure at Interactive Intelligence. Examples include introducing a leadership program for finance managers, initiating the deployment of a new enterprise resource planning system, and managing a $150 million convertible debt offering to raise funds for the company’s shift in market emphasis from software to cloud services.

In 2010, Vukovits helped launch the Interactive Intelligence Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable corporation dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth. Vukovits serves as the Foundation’s treasurer.

Vukovits is also involved in numerous community activities, including serving on the advisory council for the Informatics: Diversity-Enhanced Workforce (iDEW), assisting with children’s programs at the Julian Center of Indianapolis, and volunteering at the Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church.

The IBJ honored Vukovits and 19 other influential women at a breakfast at Indiana Roof Ballroom Nov. 5.
