The Energy Mining Planning Unit (UPME) awarded ISA, through open public bidding process, the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the second 500/230 kV /360 MVA transformer at the Ocaña Substation.

This project, which shall be in operation on June 30, 2020, is to adapt the national transmission grid to incorporate renewable energy coming from the north zone of the Atlantic Coast to provide a more reliable and safe service level.

The reference investment estimated value by UPME for this project is USD 13,7 million and ISA will receive annual revenues for USD 1,49 million (December 2017 dollar value reference) once in operation. INTERCOLOMBIA, ISA's affiliate, will be in charge of its execution and operation.

In May, the Energy Mining Planning Unit (UPME) had awarded ISA, through open public bidding process, the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the third 500/230 kV /450 MVA transformer at the Sogamoso Substation in the Department of Santander. This project will generate annual revenues for USD 1,06 million (December 2017 dollar value reference), once in operation.p>
