• Three Latin American companies, two from Peru and one from Colombia, were given awards due to their last year performance.

AméricaEconomía, one of the most influencing journal in the fields of business, economy, and finance in Latin America, at the VII Multi-Latin Companies Forum in Lima, Peru, gave three awards to the most important companies in the categories of 'Multi-Latin Leader of the Year', 'Multi-Latin Trajectory' and 'Multi-Latin Company of the Year', the latter, awarded to ISA.

According to the Multi-Latin Ranking advancement made by the Intelligence Department of AméricaEconomía, the company moved this year from the 18th to the 14th place, due to the acquisition of the control block shares from Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica S.A. (TAESA), through its Brazilian affiliate, ISA Investimentos e Participações do Brasil S.A. These shares represent 41.6% of the control block, 26.0% of ordinary shares and 14.9% of the TAESA total share capital, for a total amount of USD 309 million.

AméricaEconomía also acknowledges that for the third consecutive year, ISA was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), which ratifies it as one of the listed companies with the best sustainability practices worldwide.

At the seventh Multi-Latin Forum, professionals from the Latin American public and private sector gathered to talk about 'The New World Order Challenges'. César Augusto Ramírez Rojas, Chief Energy Transmission, represented ISA, and he received from the economist, Elías Selman Carranza, President, and Founder of AméricaEconomía, the award 'Multi-Latin Company of the Year'.

Other important acknowledgements

In August 2017, ISA was included in FTSE4Good Index, due to its good sustainability practices. In addition, at the beginning of this year, The Sustainability Yearbook acknowledged ISA as one of the most sustainable companies in the world. It is also important to notice that CTEEP, ISA's affiliate, is part of the list of companies with the best corporate climate in Brazil, in the category of 'Large Companies', according to survey conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW).
