International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. : IFF Appoints Francisco Fortanet Senior Vice President, Operations

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (NYSE: IFF), a leading global creator of flavors and fragrances for consumer products, today appointed Francisco Fortanet Senior Vice President, Operations, effective immediately. In this role, Mr. Fortanet will have broad-scale responsibilities for IFF's global operations ranging from procurement through outbound logistics.

"Francisco's deep institutional and manufacturing knowledge, experience in both the flavors and fragrances businesses, and substantial international experience makes him well-suited for his new role," said IFF Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Doug Tough. "He will continue to bring tremendous value to IFF by ensuring that the operational elements of our business support our strategic efforts in the emerging markets, innovation and the overall profitability improvement of our portfolio."

Mr. Fortanet's career with IFF began in 1995 as Plant Manager in Mexico and he has served in roles of increasing scope and responsibility over the years. Most recently, he was Vice President, Global Manufacturing Compounding. Earlier roles included Regional Director of North America Operations, Project Manager in Ireland, and Plant Manager in Hazlet, New Jersey. He holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Mr. Fortanet will be based in IFF's Hilversum, The Netherlands facility.
