As a part of a new series, we'll share three of our favourite tech news stories across the web Monday to Friday!

Today @15:00: a soap opera week for Tech giants, acquisitions, partnerships and break ups Apple, Cisco, Google and Amazon have been busy…

In a monumental logo re-brand, Google have given a fresh face to a constantly adapting image. Google's brand is one of the worlds biggest and their logo has been a constant sentiment to the fun, creative interplay between human intelligence with artificial design. While not all are happy with the change with discussions of juvenile and unnecessary, the campaign and fresh look are consistent with Google's unwavering drive to remain relevant to their audience… what do you think?

While details of the partnership remain elusive, industry influencers have discussed the potential impact of this deal on both Apple and Cisco's service offering. Whether its prioritised bandwidth for Apple devices, further mobilisation and proliferation of iOS in the business or a total transformation of unified communications, Apple and Cisco working hand in hand is exciting... but just how much will change remains to be seen, we've seen tech partnerships that have lacked substance and were little more than a PR push… Is this a case of two tech giants aligning their brand for mutual benefit or could there be a big announcement next week? One more thing…

The Apple & Cisco Deal That Could Change Unified Communications Forever

And finally…

What a soap opera week for tech… We've seen adoptions (AOL acquire Millennial Media), Romances (Apple and Cisco partnership) and breakups (Google will no longer support Flash)… but the weeks not over and Amazon have been too quiet! In an $500 million cash deal, Amazon have acquired backend mobile video service Elemental Technologies to add to the company's cloud infrastructure services and mobile video offering… with all this drama we hope you have a time to recover this weekend, have a great one!
