MYANMAR DRILLING UPDATE:
CHAUK DEVELOPMENT WELL CHK 1208
COMPLETED AS AN OIL PRODUCER
Interra Resources Limited ("Interra") wishes to inform shareholders that its joint venture entity, Goldpetrol Joint Operating Company Inc. ("Goldpetrol"), has completed development well CHK 1208 in the Chauk oil field in Myanmar as an oil producer.
Interra has a 60% interest in the Improved Petroleum Recovery Contract of the Chauk field and also owns 60% of Goldpetrol which is the operator of the field. CHK 1208 was drilled using a hired ZJ 750 rig and Interra's share of the cost of drilling was funded from existing funds on hand.
CHK 1208 is the tenth well drilled by Goldpetrol in the very successful development programme which commenced in 2013, of directional drilling under the Ayeyarwaddy River from the east bank in the Lanywa Fault Block of northern Chauk field. The well was drilled to a measured depth of 3,485 feet and reached an inclination of 25 degrees, with the primary objective of accelerating production from the oil reservoirs of this fault block.
CHK 1208 is the fourth well to be drilled in Myanmar in 2018 and following production testing, has been completed for 65 barrels of oil per day through casing perforations covering 32 feet over five reservoirs.
