Sant'Antonino, Switzerland, May 24, 2017. Interroll will deliver a total of five sorter systems to a leading express and parcel delivery service in North America. The sorter systems are part of a retrofit project in which several of the customer's distribution centers are to be modernized by the end of 2017. The sorter systems will be installed at the first of five plants in June 2017

The installations consist of vertical sorter systems from Interroll, which are equipped with a control system from the cooperation partner Atronix. The main feature of the Interroll horizontal crossbelt sorter is the considerable space-saving due to a compact, modular design. A minimum width of 1.7 m is enough for a vertical sorter with cross section cars of size 400 x 400 mm. With a maximum of 72 dBA, this solution, which is unique in the market, is not only quiet, but also cost-effective, ergonomic and low-maintenance.
