Jena/Stuttgart, Germany, 9 January, 2018 - Germany-based furniture fittings and hardware specialist Häfele has upgraded its global B2B commerce platform to the latest version of Intershop's Commerce Suite to support its international growth. The upgrade extends the long-standing partnership between the Intershop Communications AG and Häfele, which began in 1997. The migration was realized by long-standing Intershop partner diconium.

Häfele is an international company providing hardware and fitting systems and electronic access control systems. Around the world, customers from the furniture industry, dealers, joiners and cabinetmakers as well as architects, planners and builders all rely on Häfele's products.

Häfele's unified B2B platform, based on Intershop software, gives business customers in 40 countries instant access to over 100,000 products with extensive product information including CAD and CAM data, installation manuals and service documents. To help customers find the right product quickly, the website provides detailed search functions with product comparisons as well as additional services such as product suggestions and inspiration. Users can manage and track their online orders via personal accounts, view their order history and create tailored stock lists.

As part of the five-month project to migrate to a newer version of the Intershop Commerce Suite, Intershop and implementation partner diconium digital solutions helped Häfele integrate the search and conversion engine to further improve the personalized user experience in Häfele's web shop.

Based on the new platform, Häfele now plans to extend its worldwide web shop platform and the upcoming mobile shops with additional features.
