Intertek : CEO supports Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's commitment to China's 'Quality Era' at Beijing conference

Intertek's CEO Dr Wolfhart Hauser attended the first Quality Conference hosted by the central Chinese Government in Beijing on 15 September 2014. Intertek is the leading global quality solutions provider to industries worldwide.
The conference was led by the Premier Li Keqiang and Minister Zhi of AQSIQ (The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China) and attended by delegates from Chinese and international quality organisations.
The conference theme was Quality, Innovation and Development. In addressing delegates, Premier Li Keqiang explained that the Chinese government is placing great importance on improving quality and efficiency through partnership with international organisations and that China is entering a new 'Quality Era'. Before the conference he spoke with Dr Hauser and other attendees.
Intertek was the first international third party quality and safety solutions provider to enter China over 25 years ago. Dr Hauser commented "Having provided testing and certification services in China for over two decades, Intertek has observed first-hand the changing approach to quality and increased government measures to improve quality."
Dr Hauser said "Intertek is pleased to support the government and industry partners in this 'Quality Era' of Chinese economic and social development. We look forward to sharing our international and professional experience and strengthen our work with the government and organisations to help enhance China's quality service system."
