04 June 2018

Starbucks at intu Lakeside has reopened its doors after a refurbishment, with the new store's design taking inspiration from intu's multi-million pound leisure development.

Relocating from the first floor to the ground floor and doubling in size to 2,000 sq ft of space, Starbucks new concept features a modern faceted design which will mirror the planned architecture of intu Lakeside's new leisure space when it opens next year.

Annamaria Perron, district manager for Starbucks, said: 'We are really excited to be reopening our store at intu Lakeside, and welcoming local shoppers to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and our new spring food menu. The team can't wait to see what our customers think of the new store design.'

The 175,000 sq ft extension at intu Lakeside will include leisure brands such as Puttshack, Flip Out, Nickelodeon, and Hollywood Bowl and 11 new restaurants.

Rebecca Ryman, regional managing director for intu, said: 'It's fantastic to see a global brand take inspiration from the design of our leisure development which is proving to be a landmark in its own right. Already a flagship retail and leisure destination in the south east of England, the new development will make intu Lakeside the go-to place for customers wishing to have the full retail, leisure and dining experience lasting from morning through to night. By creating this space, we're delivering our purpose to make customers smile and this is in turn helping intu Lakeside's retailers to flourish.'
