Hosted in conjunction with the California State Teachers' Retirement System (CalSTRS), Tools for Success© is an annual summit designed to share best practices among new private equity fund managers.

Designed primarily for the managers of first, second or third funds, the panels provide insights targeted to both LPs and GPs and among the topics offered are Investing Insights on Private Equity: The CIO's Perspective; Investing with New & Next Generation Managers - The Good, The Bad, and the Unexpected; and Building a "Brand" from Scratch.

More than 50 GPs and many institutional investors such as CalPERS, Howard University and Kresge Foundation, along with CalSTRS and Carnegie Corporation, were in attendance. Additionally, investment consultants representing Pension Consulting Alliance and Strategic Investment Solutions also attended. In addition to sharing best practices, there was interaction among GPs, LPs and consultants with interest in emerging managers. This annual event featured dialogue with panels focused on guidance and perspective from prominent LPs and the Invesco Private Capital Investment Team, along with speed networking.
