Subject : Clarification of news regarding to the permission of public land usage according to Land Code.

IRPC Public Company Limited ("the Company") would like to clarify on the news reported in the newspaper regarding to the permission of public land usage according to Land Code as per the following details;

The Company has been acquiring big plots of land for its industrial zone in 3 sub-districts of Rayong Provinces, Tapong, Cherngnern, and Banlaeng Sub-districts since 1977. However, there are some public ways and gutters located the Company's land. Consequently, the Company had submitted to annul the unused public ways and gutters according to the Land Code Section 8 by purchasing the lands which the communities were consented to exchange with the annulled public lands. Nevertheless, the procedures of legal annulment under the Land Code Section 8 took a long period of time, the Company then asked for temporary permission to use the public land with compensation under Section 9 of the Land Code by complying with every legal procedures.

At present, the Company is permitted to temporary use the public land under the Section 9 of the Land Code. Moreover, for the flood prevention, the Company had dredged canals, ponds and build additional drainage way to improve drainage capacity.

The Company would like to inform that we are aware of previous issue and will undertake any action necessary to solve all problems in accordance to the laws and regulations to create harmony living among community in the Industrial area. All comments and suggestions from the communities to help lessen environmental impacts are very welcomed.
