ISS : is Shortlisted for a Foodservice Catey

The Education Caterer of the Year Award invited nominations from catering businesses that operate in the education sector of foodservice. The nomination called for evidence of organisational successes and achievements, innovations and commitments to serving healthy school meals.

ISS' nomination showcased the organisation's fresh approach to customer experience and its dedication to developing people, demonstrable through a comprehensive learning and development programme which has been integrated with the school catering Professional Standards.

The submission also evidenced ISS' dedication to and passion for serving healthy meals. Food Education Event Days, an annual Green Fingers Gardening Week, gardening days, cooking clubs and the company's position as the largest Food for Life Served Here accreditation holders in the country all supported the nomination.

ISS' focus on child wellbeing was also key to the nomination. The school caterers have introduced concepts around eco-therapy and exercise programmes, as well as cooking and growing initiatives, to support with mental, emotional and physical health, as well as nutrition.

ISS Facility Services Education's Managing Director, Mark Davies, said:

'We are thrilled to have been considered for this award. Being shortlisted is a great achievement in itself and is testament to the hard work of all of our team. I am really proud of what we have achieved this year - fingers crossed for the awards evening!'

The winners will be announced on 13th October at an awards ceremony in London.
