Itron : to Discuss Present and Future of Smart Grid at UTC América Latina Summit

Itron will participate in the Utility Telecom Council América Latina (UTCAL) Summit 2015, taking place from March 25 to 27 in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The conference will focus on the present and future of telecommunications and energy companies, and water and other utilities. Sessions will address the regulatory, technology and industrial policy requirements needed to enable modernization and performance in today's utility environment.
During the event, Itron will participate in two panels on Thursday, March 26. Itron's Mark Aguirre, engineering sales support manager for Latin America, will participate in a panel titled, "Trends in Utility Modernization - New and Evolving Solutions." Tom Johnson, marketing manager for smart grid solutions, will participate in the panel, "Aligning Brazilian Smart Technologies with the World Standards."
Itron representatives at the conference will also discuss Itron Riva, the company's distributed intelligence platform that supports sensing technologies and dynamic applications at the device level.
