Itron : Joins Largest-Ever U.S. Business Delegation to 2016 Hannover Messe

Itron will be anexhibitorat the largest-ever U.S. delegation to Hannover Messe, the world's foremost trade fair for industrial technology, taking place April 25-29, in Hannover, Germany. For the first time in the Fair's history, the United States will be the Partner Country, a status that provides the more than 390 businesses and organizations in the U.S. delegation an unprecedented opportunity to be prominently featured throughout the event. President Obama will also participate in this year's event, themed 'Integrated Industry-Discover Solutions.'
Itron is among several Washington state-based companies to exhibit at the fair in collaboration with the Washington State Department of Commerce. Itron will showcase its OpenWay Riva IoT solution, which combines a powerful distributed computing platform for edge devices with enhanced communications capabilities to enable new applications and use cases for electric, gas and water utilities and smart cities. These include applications to improve grid and pipeline safety, efficiency, reliability and asset management; to accommodate more renewable and distributed generation onto the grid; and to drive improvements in customer-facing applications such as demand response, energy efficiency and water conservation.
Hannover Messe typically hosts more than 200,000 attendees from more than 70 countries, including global investors, buyers, distributors, resellers and government officials.
