Itron, a world-leading technology and services company dedicated to the resourceful use of energy and water, is excited to be a part of the American Gas Association Operations Conference where Itron will be demoing the OpenWay Riva IoT solution for smart utilities and cities.

The annual AGA Operations Conference is the natural gas industry's gathering of natural gas utility and transmission company operations management from across North America and the world for the sharing of technical knowledge, ideas and practices to promote the safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of natural gas to the end-user. With 500 operations management in attendance, 80 speakers and 100 technical presentations, the Operations Conference is AGA's largest forum.

The OpenWay Riva solution delivers high performance communications and innovative distributed applications to solve critical challenges facing gas distribution networks. OpenWay Riva enables an increasingly diverse ecosystem of meters, network devices and distributed assets to communicate and collaborate intelligently throughout the network. These capabilities power new and better approaches to risk management; asset management; leak detection; detection of unsafe conditions; and the safe delivery of natural gas to customers.

Itron President and CEO Philip Mezey will be speaking at the conference on April 20 about what the active network means for gas utilities. Itron will be hosting an open house featuring hands-on demonstrations of OpenWay Riva.
