OPENING IN HARRISBURG, PA -
FACILITY TO BRING 30 NEW JOBS TO HARRISBURG AREA
LOWELL, ARKANSAS, February 3, 2012 ? J.B. Hunt Transport
Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT) announced today the upcoming
opening of its new "green" shop, an energy?efficient
maintenance facility, located at
2367 Sycamore Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The
42,000?square?foot facility, slated to open at the end of the
month, is equipped with a variety of sustainable,
energy?efficient features. Additionally, it offers for
Harrisburg locals 30 new jobs.
"We are excited about the opening of our maintenance facility
in Harrisburg and the new jobs it will bring to the area,"
said Gary Anderson, Executive Vice President of Maintenance
for J.B. Hunt. "The green methods and materials utilized in
the shop's construction combine with the energy?efficient
features
used in its daily operation to reflect our commitment to
sustainability."
Among the sustainable "green" features used in the facility's
construction are the building materials themselves; the
structure is a metal building comprised of 90% recycled
material. Recycled asphalt, concrete and rock were used as
fill, resulting in less construction waste. Polished concrete
floors throughout the facility also helped to reduce
construction waste and impact on natural resources.
The Harrisburg shop also includes other sustainable features
in its regular operation, such as LED lights, which consume
less energy than other light fixtures, throughout the shop
and yard. Light sensors in the shop and motion sensors in
offices, bathrooms and break rooms contribute to energy
savings. Daylight harvesting using skylights will help light
shop bays, storage areas and the break/locker room. A
reflective white roof contributes to energy savings, and
polished concrete floors help maximize lighting and energy
efficiency that reduces the load on HVAC systems. The
facility also has an emergency generator capable of powering
all of the facility's operations.
The facility includes around 35,000 square feet of shop space
and 7,000 square feet of office space. It houses six tractor
bays, six trailer bays, a steam wash bay and a drive?through
gantry wash bay. It also has available parking for over 240
tractors, 50 trailers and 68 personal vehicles for
employees.

tractor, trailer and tire mechanics, each with a full range
