Jain Irrigation Systems has been awarded the Poorigali Integrated Micro Irrigation ProjectJain Irrigation Systems has been awarded the Poorigali Integrated Micro Irrigation Project by Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Ltd., Government of Karnataka through national competitive bidding.
The irrigation project is based on the concept-“Resource to Root” globally pioneered and promoted by Jain Irrigation which will deliver “ More Crop Per Drop” to the farmers.
The project was valued at Rs 569 crore, and was presented to the Chief Minister of Karnataka on April 20, 2017.
It is the largest micro irrigation project in India, benefitting more than 15,000 farmers. The project will be implemented within duration of 18 months.
The project will cover 21,317 acres of farm area spread over 51 villages in Karnataka.
The stock is trading in negative territory, down by 0.18% at Rs 113.70 per share. BSE Sensex is up by over 67 points or 0.22% at 29486 levels. NIFTY 50 is trading up by 22 points or 0.25% at 9158 levels.
