TOKYO, February 26 2015: Japan Airlines (JAL) is striving to provide passengers high levels of in-flight service and pleasure onboard. From March 2015, JAL SKY Wi-Fi, in-flight internet service (paid service) will be expanded on both international and domestic routes. JAL will support onboard passengers to have seamless connectivity in the air just as they can on the ground.

Starting April 2015, JAL will provide customers with the latest Hollywood and Japanese movies and series of TV dramas on international routes. Well-received SKY MANGA will be available on the airline's Boeing 787s in both Japanese and English in order to introducing the culture of Japanese manga.

On JAL domestic routes, Wi-Fi video service will be increased to 10 programs, and these free programs are available for watching through your own wireless LAN capable devices.

JAL will continually endeavor to bring a unique and completely refreshing onboard experience to customers with the expansion of its in-flight entertainment service.

International routes: In-flight entertainment service

1. Movies & video programs

JAL will provide latest movies and popular series of TV dramas below from April 2015.

●"RYOMADEN -- The Legend: Summarized", NHK Taiga drama (Japanese history drama) to be first provided in-flight with JAL

●"Doctor-X" all 2013 episodes, TV Asahi popular drama

※" Doctor-X" all 2014 episodes will be shown from October 2015 to March 2016

2. JAL SKY MANGA / Digital Books

JAL SKY MANGA, digital manga service, is available on the Boeing 787s with original stories which some have been adapted to the upcoming movies, and offering 10 volumes of manga in English version. As another part of digital books with JAL in-flight service, the airline also provides haiku (Japanese poetry) written by children from 34 countries and regions around the world in both Japanese and English.

In-flight entertainment on domestic routes

Wi-Fi video service will expand up to 10 programs on domestic routes from April 2015. These free programs can be watched through customers own wireless LAN capable devices. Customers can enjoy more popular TV programs as well as JAL's original video programs during their journey.
